Internal IT resources : personnel directory XAJAM¶

Every member of the CPHT must be registered in the XAJAM directory of the School, whether he is a permanent member or a guest.

Any permament can have guests: cf the procedure Useful documents.

The XAJAM directory provides a unique login in the form of firstname.lastname and an associated password that provides access to X services as well as CPHT services.

Any inviting party must specify the computing resources necessary for its guest: by default "cpht" or "pmc" (gives access to CPHT or PMC stations and CasimirX) and optional private clusters montblanc, tianlong, hedin, xmhd, hopper, etc.

Two prerequisites are required in a file of the XAJAM directory:

• have a manager (the director for a permanent, inviting him for a guest)

• get a contact email

The password associated with the login XAJAM can be retrieved by going to the support desk of the DSI, office 07 20 09 HELPDESK DSI or via the form web Initialize your password.

Once the password has been recovered, the first service that can be offered is messaging:

• If the email polytechnique.edu requested, it is the contact email that will be visible in the directory

• email @polytechnique.edu without a mailbox : it is an automatic forward to the contact email

• email @polytechnique.edu with storage box (default is 10GB) On request HELPDESK DSI it's possible to ask increase space.
